Construction of IT Incubation Complex for Startups and IT Companies Launched in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Samarkand, construction has officially begun on a new IT infrastructure project — an incubation complex for IT companies and startups.

The event was attended by Adiz Boboev, hokim of Samarkand Region; Jamshid Egamberdiev, advisor to the Minister of Digital Technologies; Farhod Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan; Pan Shengjian, CEO of Shanghai Construction Group; and industry representatives.

The IT park is being developed to advance the region’s digital economy, introduce innovative technologies, and train qualified personnel in the field of information technology.

The new complex will provide support for startup projects, host IT companies, and foster the professional development of young specialists.

The IT incubation center will occupy approximately one hectare and is being implemented by the Chinese company Shanghai Construction Group under the EPC+F model, which includes engineering, design, procurement, construction, and financing.

All stages of the project will adhere to national and international safety and quality standards.

The project is part of the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy and aims to establish sustainable digital infrastructure across the regions.

The new IT park will become a hub for technology companies, startups, and investors, while also promoting international cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the digital economy.

Implementation of the project expands the regional IT Park Uzbekistan network, strengthens infrastructure capabilities, and creates new jobs. This will support the gradual development of the country’s technology ecosystem and facilitate the scaling of regional projects to national and international levels.
