Construction Materials Production in Uzbekistan Rises by 13.5%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first ten months of 2025, Uzbekistan’s production of construction materials reached 45.7 trillion soums, marking a 13.5% increase compared to the same period last year, the press service head of the “UzSanoatKurilishMateriallari” Association, Jamshid Shermetov, reported at a briefing.

From January to October, the country produced 18.8 million tons of cement, 33.3 million square meters of construction glass, 41 million square meters of ceramic tiles, 91.8 million square meters of drywall sheets, 301,000 tons of dry construction mixes, and 751,000 units of sanitary equipment.

As part of investment projects, 230 facilities with a total value of $1.065 billion were commissioned, creating 8,712 new jobs. Among the notable projects are a cluster for the production of doors, window frames, and furniture in the Yakkabog district of Kashkadarya region by Al-Kamol Rise Group LLC, valued at $4.7 million, and a cast iron processing project by Odil Eco LLC in the Ishtikhan district of Samarkand region, valued at $1.5 million.

Foreign direct investment and loans utilized under the State Investment Program reached $168.6 million, achieving 117.6% of the planned target and exceeding the result of the same period last year by 26%.

Exports of construction materials, including aluminum products, ceramics, stone products, glass, cement, DSP and MDF boards, as well as PVC and plastic products, increased by $187 million compared to last year. To expand export deliveries, trading houses, showrooms, and warehouses have been established in Baku, Dushanbe, Lahore, Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif, Aktau, and Jalal-Abad.

Uzbek manufacturers also participated in international business forums and exhibitions, including Innoprom Central Asia-2025 in Tashkent, Kazan Forum 2025, “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibitions in Tbilisi and Ulaanbaatar, Turkic International Exhibition in Baku, Los Angeles Build Expo, Bud Expo in Belarus, Brno Expo, and Baku Build 2025. These events contribute to promoting Uzbek products abroad and strengthening the export potential of the sector.
