Construction in Uzbekistan Rises 14.7% in January–October 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The value of construction work completed in Uzbekistan reached 247.3 trillion soums in the first 10 months of 2025, up 14.7% compared with the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Building and structure construction accounted for the largest share of the sector at 68.9%, up seven percentage points from 2024. Civil construction projects made up 20.9% of the total, increasing 28% year-on-year, while specialized construction works contributed 10.2%, rising 57.5%.
Large construction companies completed 61.6 trillion soums worth of work over the period, up 27.5%, raising their share of total output to 24.9%. Small and micro enterprises accounted for 50.1% of the market, contributing 124.0 trillion soums, an increase of 13.2%. The informal sector represented roughly 25% of the market, or 61.7 trillion soums, up 6.8%.
The fastest growth in output by large companies was recorded in Syrdarya (167.3%), Jizzakh (166.9%), and Andijan (157.2%) regions.
