Conditions for Supplementary Education for Children and Adults to Be Created
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law introducing amendments and additions to several existing legislative acts related to supplementary education.
Under the new provisions, supplementary education is divided into two categories: for children and for adults.
Supplementary education for children is considered an integral part of the continuous educational process, aimed at developing a child’s talents and abilities, as well as meeting their spiritual and cultural needs. Such educational programs may be offered by state bodies, non-governmental non-profit organizations, and commercial entities. The programs can cover cultural and aesthetic, scientific, technical, sports, and other areas.
Supplementary education for adults is intended to meet their educational needs, acquire new knowledge and skills, and support professional and personal development.
The law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
