CONCH Cement and Almalyk Institute to Jointly Train Specialists for the Mining Industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Almalyk State Technical Institute and one of the world’s largest companies in the mining and construction materials sector, CONCH Cement, have signed a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement.

The agreement provides for the development of collaboration in production, education, and scientific research, the exchange of practical experience, and the implementation of advanced joint projects in mining electromechanics.

Special attention is being given to the integration of innovative technologies into the educational process with the involvement of Chinese scientists and industry experts.

The parties also agreed to cooperate in training and retraining personnel for CONCH Cement’s structural divisions at Almalyk State Technical Institute. This includes professional development for company employees, as well as joint scientific research and experimental design work focused on the practical needs of the enterprise.

Proposals under the agreement include training specialists in areas strategic for the company, organizing internships for students and faculty in China and other countries, and conducting scientific studies on current technological and production challenges.

The implementation of these initiatives aligns with the strategic objective set by the head of state for the institute — the creation of a world-class advanced engineering school specializing in geology, metallurgy, and engineering sciences.

Currently, CONCH Cement encompasses hundreds of enterprises worldwide engaged in cement and construction materials production and is one of the largest players in the global mining and construction industry. Annual production volumes reach hundreds of millions of tons, with deliveries to more than 20 countries.
