Concert in honor of Constitution Day of Uzbekistan takes place in Israel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A gala concert dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held in the Palace of Culture of the Israeli city of Or Yehuda, Dunyo reports.

At a concert organized with the support of our Embassy in Israel, the khokimiyat of Ferghana region, the city hall of Or Yehud, the World Congress of Bukhara Jews and active compatriots, the Fargona folk ensemble, honored and national artists of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Askarov and Ilkhom Ibrahimov, as well as the famous performer of shoshmakom and classical songs of Bukhara Jews Avram Tolmasov presented their performances.

The program was also rich in songs and dances performed by Israeli dancers and musicians.

Janna Cohen, deputy mayor of Or Yehuda, a native of Uzbekistan, as well as other prominent representatives of the Bukhara Jewish community, congratulated the Uzbek people on Constitution Day in their speech. Expressing pride in their roots, they wished prosperity, peace and tranquility to sunny Uzbekistan.

The representative of the Embassy spoke about the development and adoption of the Basic Law of the Republic, which laid a solid foundation for the modern democratic development of the state. Along with the main provisions of the speech of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the solemn meeting dedicated to Constitution Day, the audience was told about the course of the upcoming elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis. In particular, a group of Uzbek citizens working in Israel discussed the possibility of voting created for this condition at the Embassy of our country in Tel Aviv.
