Concept for New Imam al-Maturidi Museum Presented in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Turkish company Autor Fakture, which has been operating in Uzbekistan for over five years, presented the concept for a museum dedicated to the life, scholarly legacy, and theological school of the eminent thinker Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturidi. The project was showcased to the Hokim of Samarkand Region, Adiz Boboev.

The project’s author, Sinan Turaman, explained that the museum is being designed as a modern multimedia space. The exhibition will be based on interactive technologies, including digital screens and visual installations, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of al-Maturidi’s teachings and his contributions to the development of theological thought. The architectural design is planned to incorporate elements of national decoration, emphasizing the project’s spiritual connection with the region’s cultural heritage.

During the discussion, Adiz Boboev highlighted the importance of paying special attention to the design of the entrance area. According to him, the museum should reflect not only the life and work of Imam al-Maturidi but also the history of other prominent scholars and thinkers buried at the Chokardiza cemetery.

This approach will create a comprehensive historical and educational center. The preliminary concept will be refined based on feedback and submitted for national review. Once approved, the parties intend to move forward with its implementation.
