Competition Committee Reviews Mobile Service Tariff Increases

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Competition Committee has announced the launch of a review concerning potential increases in mobile service tariffs in Uzbekistan.

In early November 2025, the Committee sent official inquiries to mobile operators requesting information to assess the justification for proposed tariff changes.

Currently, the authorities are examining data provided by operators regarding how expenses related to service quality improvements and network expansion influence tariff formation.

If signs of anti-competitive practices are detected, including possible coordinated actions among operators, a formal investigation will be initiated.

Should violations of existing legislation be confirmed, strict measures will be applied to the operators.

The Committee emphasized that the primary goal of the review is to protect consumer interests and ensure transparent competition in the mobile communications market.
