MPs, representatives of educational institutes, Armed Forces of Kashkadarya region, their families, and state bodies participated at the roundtable.
It was said that Uzbekistan created effective system on ensuring peace and stability and formed necessary legislative base, which serve as important factor for ensuring peace and development of the country.
The meeting said that the peace and stability is important for prosperity and further development of the country. It was noted that Uzbekistan constructed 23,600 houses in 2009-2012 in rural areas to improve well-being of population. This year, it is planned to construct 10,000 similar houses. The income of the population is also increasing.
The participants considered difficult situation and conflicts in the region. It was noted Uzbekistan should determine its strategic priorities of foreign policy, which meet interests of the country. It was said that to achieve this goal, Uzbekistan adopted a law “On approval of the Concept of the foreign political activity of Uzbekistan” in September 2012. The roundtable participants discussed the concept and its clauses.
They also considered reforms in Armed Forces and training of forces to ensure security of the country, as well as their equipment with modern weapons and armors.
The roundtable adopted recommendations on further improving national safety, peace and stability in the country.
