Commercial banks finance business plans for 26bn soums

Members of UzLiDeP in local Councils of People’s Deputies, representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Farmers Council, Central Bank and commercial banks, people, who successfully passed the selection stage of the project, participated in the event.

Over 5,024 representatives of businesses and farmers participated in similar business seminars in 2012-2013. During this period, about 26 billion soums of loans were issued by commercial to finance business plans. Currently, 753 of the participants started their own businesses and create d over 2,000 new jobs.

This year, within the project it is planned to help 3,000 people in the region to organize their businesses and help to improve entrepreneurship skils.

During the seminar, the book “202 projects to create business” was presented. The book includes data on financing business plans and process of obtaining credits. The participants of the seminar also familiarized with the activities of local farms and business entities.

At the end of the event, each participant presented their business plans and the authors of the best projects received certificates to receive soft loans from commercial banks.
