The parties spoke about the economic reforms carried out in the country, and the interaction in this process with the World Bank.
During the meeting, organized in order to officially launch the World Bank’s project “Institutional Capacity Development”, it was noted that as a result of reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, the Senate increased its role in improving the living conditions of the population, which is fully consistent with the purpose and content of the World Bank project. bank.
It was emphasized that the project, implemented with the assistance of a leading international financial institution, will serve the management of economic reforms, in particular, public finances, the preparation of a budget message, and the improvement of treasury activities. In addition, it was noted that the project will also achieve practical results in such areas as bringing the financial reporting system and internal state control mechanisms in line with international standards, and reforming state enterprises.
The parties discussed in detail the issues of preparing, within the framework of the draft, methodological aids for conducting research in a number of ministries in such areas as state budget management, developing a budget aimed at performance, creating an integrated information system by improving the activities of the Ministry of Finance based on best practices.
