Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A government resolution “On Additional Measures for Effective Organization of the Activities of the Probation Service of the Internal Affairs Bodies” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, starting March 1 from 2020, between the ministries and departments, mutual cooperation will be established to provide social, legal and psychological assistance to supervised persons.

Also, special topics for studying the psychological portrait of supervised persons will be introduced into higher educational institutions (HEI) educational programs in the legal specialty, as well as practical training will be established in the probation departments of students studying in the direction of “Psychology” in the corresponding HEI.

The resolution approved the Action Plan for the effective organization of the activities of the probation service of the internal affairs bodies in 2020-2020, as well as a mechanism for joint activities.

In accordance with the relevant resolution of the President, a probation service has been created under the Main Directorate for the Execution of Sentences on the basis of the Directorate for the Control of the Execution of Sentences not related to deprivation of liberty, the Main Directorate for the Prevention of Offenses of the Ministry of the Interior.
