The Coca‑Cola company in Uzbekistan Holds Ramadan Charity Initiatives

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the holy month of Ramadan, The Coca‑Cola Company in Uzbekistan carried out a series of large-scale social initiatives under the campaign “Made by — all good is created by us.” The projects aimed to support local communities and foster a festive spirit.

In nine universities, The Coca‑Cola Company in Uzbekistan partnered with the institutions to organize student events featuring hosts, DJs, relay races, contests, and a shopper-painting workshop. Students and faculty also shared meals prepared in collaboration with chefs from Besh Qozon, including traditional plov.

Special attention was given to community support. Charity dinners were held in six mahallas of Tashkent, where legendary Besh Qozon chefs prepared plov served along tables stretching up to 60 meters, bringing together families, neighbors, and friends. Similar dinners took place in Samarkand, Nukus, Khiva, Jizzakh, Andijan, and Namangan.

Together with Coca‑Cola Ichimligi O’zbekiston and the ONA public foundation, The Coca‑Cola  Company in Uzbekistan provided assistance to 1,000 needy families across seven cities — Tashkent, Samarkand, Nukus, Khiva, Jizzakh, Andijan, and Namangan. Each family received food vouchers worth 1,000,000 soums, Coca‑Cola beverages, and the traditional treat chak‑chak, prepared by participants of the Coozin project supported by The Coca‑Cola Foundation.

“During the month of Ramadan, it is especially important to support one another and assist those in need. Our goal is to contribute to an atmosphere of kindness, unity, and mutual assistance, which is so meaningful at this time. We want to remind everyone that goodness is created by our own hands — just like the pilaf prepared by Uzbek chefs and Coca‑Cola products made here in Uzbekistan. Coca‑Cola strives to be an integral part of the communities where we operate: for us, it is important not only to grow our business but also to help improve the quality of life for these communities,” said Nazee Aripjanova, Director of Government Relations, Communications, and Sustainability for The Coca‑Cola Company in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Looking ahead to the spring holiday of Navruz, The Coca‑Cola Company in Uzbekistan invites the public to celebrate together. On 21 and 22 March, the company will host a fair on Gastronomic Street C‑1, as well as festivities at Navruz Park, Tashkent City, and Seoul Mun Gastronomic Street. Guests will enjoy music, treats, and family activities.

On 21 March, celebrations with traditional dishes, plov, and sumalak will be held in Namangan at Afsona and Bobur Parks, in Andijan at the Navruz shopping and entertainment center, and in Samarkand at the Samarkand Silk Road complex. On 22 March, the tourist street in Gulbozor mahalla will host a Navruz festival featuring sumalak, plov, and numerous interactive activities.
