Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inter-parliamentary relations in foreign policy play an important role in the development of mutually beneficial relations between countries. For this reason, practical measures have been taken to further strengthen cooperation between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and parliaments of foreign countries - cooperation groups are being created.
The next inter-parliamentary co-operation group of the Legislative Chamber was created with the National Council of Austria (lower house of parliament). The group, consisting of representatives of factions of political parties, will be led by Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Alisher Kodirov.
Cooperation is being established with foreign legislative bodies not only of the leading countries of Europe, but also of Asia. Thus, an inter-parliamentary group of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis was created to cooperate with the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia, which is headed by the chairman of the Committee on Budget and Economic Reforms Sharofiddin Nazarov.
Also on the eve of the Legislative Chamber, the first meeting of the interparliamentary cooperation group with the House of Representatives of the Belgian Parliament took place.
The participants discussed issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of lawmaking, increasing the level of trade, economic, social and humanitarian relations, including expanding partnerships of the business community, as well as increasing the volume of investments.
The event developed and approved a work plan.
