Clothing Production in Uzbekistan Reaches 24.4 Trillion Soums in the First Eight Months of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Between January and August 2025, clothing production in Uzbekistan reached 24.4 trillion soums, marking a 16.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

The Andijan region made the largest contribution to the sector, producing clothing worth 9.6 trillion soums. It was followed by the Namangan region with 2.7 trillion soums, the Tashkent region with 2.6 trillion soums, and the city of Tashkent with 1.8 trillion soums.

Significant output was also recorded in the Fergрana region (1.6 trillion soums), the Navoi region (1.4 trillion soums), and the Kashkadarya region (1.1 trillion soums).

Lower production volumes were registered in the Bukhara region (1 trillion soums), Samarkand region (863.7 billion soums), Surkhandarya region (437.0 billion soums), Jizzakh region (419.1 billion soums), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (333.4 billion soums), Syrdarya region (291.5 billion soums), and Khorezm region (288.9 billion soums).
