Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A videoconference was held in Tokyo between representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan with the general director of the Tourism, Culture and Exchange Bureau of the Nagoya City Hall Toshinori Matsuo, the leadership of the Nagoya Youth Chamber and the Nagoya-Uzbekistan Friendship Association, which discussed issues of humanitarian cooperation, Dunyo reported.
Matsuo noted that the administration of the city hall closely monitors decisive and effective measures by the Uzbek leadership to counteract COVID-19 and protect public health.
In this regard, the Nagoya administration decided through the Youth Chamber of the city to provide humanitarian assistance to Uzbekistan in the form of financial resources to combat coronavirus as part of partnerships with the city of Tashkent.
