Citizen trying to sell drugs for US$4,000 detained

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The bodies of the state customs service are constantly taking measures to combat illegal drug trafficking hidden from customs control in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In particular, in the course of an operational event carried out by employees of the Anti-Smuggling and Customs Audit Department of the State Customs Committee for Andijan region, in cooperation with representatives of other law enforcement agencies, illegal drug trafficking was identified and prevented.

During the event, citizen M.Sh. was detained red-handed, at the time of an attempt to resell to a conditional buyer for US$4,000, bought from citizen K.Yu. the drug "hashish" weighing 323.11 gr. This was reported by the press service of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also, in the presence of citizen M.Sh., in the pocket of his clothes, another 0.27 grams of hashish was found.

The event was continued and with the participation of attesting witnesses, citizen M.A.

As a result of checks under the driver’s seat of the citizen’s car of the brand "Nexia 2", 0.73 grams was found, and under the cover of his cell phone 0.88 grams of "hashish" was found.

As a result of the carried out operational measures, 324.99 grams of hashish were withdrawn from illegal traffic.

Currently, preliminary investigations are underway on the revealed facts of offenses.
