Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Abbosov M.R., a native of Namangan region, born in 1995, arrived in Uzbekistan on 20 March from Moscow by train.

According to the rules of the epidemiological situation, he was placed in the quarantine center established in Kashkadarya region in the prescribed manner.

On 21 March, at about 15:30, M. Abbosov tried to escape from quarantine, for which he climbed over the wall of the center, but was detained by an officer of the National Guard, who was guarding.

A criminal case has been instituted against this citizen.

In particular, according to article 257-1 of the Criminal Code, violation of sanitary legislation or the rules for combating epidemics, which entailed a massive illness or poisoning of people, is punishable by a fine from fifty to one hundred basic calculation units or by deprivation of a certain right for up to five years, or correctional labor for up to two years or restriction of liberty from one year to three years or imprisonment up to three years.

The same act, which resulted in the death of a person, shall be punishable by correctional labor from two to three years or by restriction of liberty from three to five years or by imprisonment from three to five years, and in case of human victims - by imprisonment from five to eight years.

In addition, article 54 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility states that a violation of the mandatory rules established to prevent the occurrence or spread of quarantine and other infections dangerous to humans entails a fine on citizens from three to five, and on officials from ten to fifteen basic calculated values.
