CIS Games: Uzbekistan Delegation Concludes Competitions with 119 Medals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The III CIS Games concluded successfully in Azerbaijan. On the final day of the competition, the Uzbekistan national team won a bronze medal in the group event of rhythmic gymnastics, performing routines with five hoops and five pairs of clubs.

By the end of the Games, Uzbek athletes had earned a total of 119 medals: 25 gold, 33 silver, and 61 bronze, securing fourth place in the overall team standings, behind Russia, Azerbaijan, and Belarus.

These competitions provided an important stage for preparation and valuable experience for young athletes.

The main squad of youth teams is preparing for the III Asian Youth Games in Bahrain, which will begin in 10 days. By decision of the coaching staff, promising reserve athletes were sent to Azerbaijan, where they demonstrated strong performance and confirmed their potential.
