Chuvashia Delegation to Visit Uzbekistan to Strengthen Economic Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Head of the Chuvash Republic, Oleg Nikolaev, announced the preparation of a business mission to Uzbekistan, scheduled for the end of November 2025.
The decision to organize the trip was made following Chuvashia’s participation in the second Russia–Uzbekistan Regional Council, during which a number of important agreements were signed with Uzbek partners.
“We signed several agreements, including with the Navoi region. In addition, a significant step was the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Economic Development of Chuvashia, our special economic zone operator, and a resident enterprise, which plans to soon build a high-tech plant to address Uzbekistan’s water supply needs,” Nikolaev said.
The business mission will serve as a reciprocal step following visits from delegations from the Navoi, Kashkadarya, and Bukhara regions of Uzbekistan.
The delegation will include members of the Chuvash government as well as business representatives.
The Head of the Republic emphasized that the trip is expected to result in concrete agreements and the signing of contracts between enterprises from both countries.
Larisa Rafikova, Minister of Economic Development and Property Relations of the Chuvash Republic, noted that Chuvashia and Uzbekistan are actively expanding their foreign trade turnover and strengthening economic ties. Production of goods for Uzbekistan’s power sector is planned to be launched within the Novocheboksarsk Special Economic Zone.
Additionally, it was agreed that in 2026, a Chuvashia delegation led by Oleg Nikolaev will visit Uzbek regions as part of the third Russia–Uzbekistan Council, confirming the long-term nature of cooperation between the regions.
