Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Chinese group of companies Jinshen Group, which is one of the largest investors in the textile industry of Uzbekistan, has joined the action of the Uztekstilprom Association to fight against coronavirus and support the country’s population.

The company expressed a desire to donate humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan in the amount of more than 1.95 billion soums.

According to company representatives, 500 thousand protective medical masks for the population of Uzbekistan were purchased for the indicated amount.

The company has been actively investing in Uzbekistan for several years. To date, the company has invested over US$150 million in the textile industry of Uzbekistan, created LLC LT Textile International. At the moment, the 1st stage of the modern spinning mill in the city of Karshi, where more than 700 people work, has been implemented.

Along with this, the Jinshen Group is currently working on the implementation of the second phase of the project, which provides for the production of 15.0 thousand tons of yarn, 10.0 million square meters. fabrics, export potential of 40.0 million dollars, the creation of an additional over 1000 new jobs.

Part of the humanitarian aid is planned to be transferred to the khokimiyats of Syrdarya and Kashkadarya regions (100 thousand masks each), and the rest will be transferred to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
