Chinese Pharmaceutical Companies Show Interest in Tashkent Pharma Park Cluster
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 July 2025, Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held talks with a delegation from the People’s Republic of China, which included representatives of major pharmaceutical and industrial companies.
The delegation was led by Liu Yu, Chairman of the China Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the Chinese representatives were given a detailed presentation on the concept of the innovative research and production pharmaceutical cluster Tashkent Pharma Park. Particular attention was paid to the project’s infrastructure, favorable conditions created for investors, and the government support measures available to cluster participants.
The parties discussed the prospects for launching joint production in key areas such as oncology, cardiology, cosmetology, and others. Additionally, an initiative was proposed to organize an online meeting with around 60 leading Chinese pharmaceutical companies. The meeting would aim to exchange export-import data and identify priority areas for collaboration.
Following the talks, both sides expressed their readiness to maintain regular information exchange and working contacts, and outlined specific steps to deepen investment cooperation.
