Chinese Guizhou Huayu Group Shows Interest in Projects in Namangan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his visit to China’s Guizhou province, Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, Hokim of Namangan Region, held talks with Zhou Fu, President of one of China’s largest industrial and development corporations, Guizhou Huayu Group.

The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation, particularly in the implementation of modern urban renewal projects in the city of Namangan. As a result, practical agreements were reached regarding the application of advanced urban planning and infrastructure solutions.

Special attention was given to prospects for joint investment projects in aquaculture and agriculture. It was emphasized that these initiatives aim to introduce modern technologies, increase production volumes, and expand the region’s export potential.

The parties also discussed the creation of a Guizhou special industrial zone in Namangan Region. Guizhou Huayu Group expressed strong interest in this initiative, noting that its implementation could deepen industrial cooperation between the regions, create new jobs, and attract additional investments.

During the visit, the Namangan delegation also reviewed a major urban renewal project implemented by Guizhou Huayu Group in Guiyang City. The delegation examined the infrastructure of the new urban district, New Guiyang, modern urban planning solutions, as well as residential and social facilities constructed within the project. The parties discussed the potential adaptation and application of this experience to urban renewal projects in Namangan.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached to establish joint working groups for the practical implementation of the accords and to launch the planned projects in stages.
