Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Visit Three Central Asian Countries
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will undertake a regional visit from 19 to 22 November.
During the trip, Wang Yi will hold strategic dialogues with the heads of foreign ministries of the three countries. In Kyrgyzstan, he will meet with Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev; in Uzbekistan, with Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov; and in Tajikistan, with Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
The parties plan to discuss key issues of bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as measures to strengthen stability and security in Central Asia.
Wang Yi’s visit will provide an important opportunity to enhance China’s diplomatic ties with Central Asia and promote joint initiatives in economic and political cooperation.
