Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In accordance with the legislation of the People’s Republic of China, from 7 December 2020, the Embassy of China in Uzbekistan begins to introduce the collection of fingerprints and an image of the applicant’s face for applying for a Chinese visa.
The applicant must be personally present at the embassy to be fingerprinted with the relevant documents, otherwise the applicant may be refused a visa and will be held liable for the consequences.
The following persons can be exempted from the procedure:
1. Minors under 14 years of age or persons over 70 years of age.
2. Persons who have submitted biometric data for a Chinese visa within the last 5 years, and subject to the provision of a Chinese biometric visa in the same passport.
3. Persons with hand injuries for which fingerprinting is not feasible.
