Chinese Delegation Visits the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan with members of a delegation from the Advisors’ Office of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, led by Zhang Zile.

During the meeting, primary attention was given to identifying priority areas for scientific and analytical cooperation between the Advisors’ Office of the State Council of the PRC and the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies.

Following the dialogue, the parties agreed to establish cooperation in such fields as agriculture, industry, poverty reduction, education, as well as the exchange of students and young researchers.

In addition, members of the Chinese delegation noted the high proportion of women among the institute’s research staff and expressed interest in conducting joint research and sharing experience in this area as well.
