Chinese Delegation Expresses Interest in Investments and Technology Transfer in Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 September, the Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Azizov, held a meeting with a Chinese delegation led by Zhang Yan, Director of the International Cooperation Committee of China’s Technology Market Association.

During the meeting, Azizov presented the innovative scientific and production pharmaceutical cluster project “Tashkent Pharma Park”, outlining its capabilities and favorable conditions for investors. The Chinese delegation, in turn, shared information about their activities and key operational areas.

Both sides expressed mutual interest in cooperation in educational programs, healthcare, research and development (R&D), as well as traditional Chinese medicine and preventive care.

Additionally, the Chinese delegation indicated their readiness to provide a list of companies interested in investing in Uzbekistan, details of enterprises ready for technology transfer, and information on scholarship programs for studies in biotechnology and pharmacy.
