Chinese Delegation Explores Tourism Potential in Syrdarya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During their visit to Uzbekistan, a delegation led by Liu Fen, Executive Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade and Industry in Tourism and founder of Beijing Peak Tourism Culture & Creative, toured the Syrdarya region.

An info-tour was organized for the delegation to familiarize them with the region’s tourism potential, ongoing projects, and prospective areas for cooperation.

The delegation visited a 75-hectare site along the Syrdarya River planned for the construction of the historical-themed park “Battle in the Mud” (“Loy jangi”) and reviewed several modern tourist facilities. The project aims to establish contemporary tourism infrastructure, create jobs, and boost domestic and inbound tourism.

During a presentation, the regional deputy hokim and head of the tourism department briefed the delegation on construction progress, project phases, and its economic and social significance.

The delegation also toured the “Ravon Arena” recreation area in the Syrdarya district to examine the first phase of its development. In the Saykhunabad district, they reviewed a tourism project by Fazilat Group LLC and visited a natural spring to assess its ecological and tourism potential. Authorities outlined ongoing landscaping and eco-tourism infrastructure work in the area.

Additionally, the delegation was introduced to a new water production enterprise using modern technologies, which is expected to provide quality drinking water, generate employment, and contribute to regional economic growth.

On the second day, the delegation visited Gulistan district to explore potential sites for future tourism projects. Officials presented information on tourism infrastructure, existing capacities, and investment opportunities.

The delegation expressed high appreciation for Syrdarya region’s tourism potential and interest in developing cooperation, proposing several initiatives for joint projects. The visit strengthens bilateral relations, expands investment collaboration, and promotes the development of the region’s tourism sector.
