Chinese Companies Discuss Local Production of EV Charging Stations with Uzeltekhsanoat in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of major Chinese companies visited the Uzeltekhsanoat Association to discuss prospects for a joint project on the local production and deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Uzbekistan. The delegation was led by Wang Qi, Deputy General Director of Southern Power Grid Electric Vehicle Service, and Yang Yang, General Director of Hanov Holding.

During the meeting, Uzeltekhsanoat Chairman Mirziyod Yunusov discussed with the foreign partners the placement of production facilities, technology transfer, investment mechanisms, the level of localization, and directions for long-term strategic cooperation. Both sides emphasized that the initiative fully aligns with Uzbekistan’s goals for developing a “green economy” and modern EV infrastructure.

Following the discussions, an agreement was reached to continue consultations toward moving the project into the practical implementation stage.
