Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The China–Central Asia Trade Exhibition “China–Uzbekistan 2025” was officially opened in Tashkent. The event was organized on the initiative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
The opening ceremony was attended by Zhang Shujin, Deputy Director of the CCPIT Exhibition Department; Alisher Shaikhov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan; Liu Yan, First Secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Uzbekistan; Otbek Razikov, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Exporters Association; and Mukhammad Usmonovich Makhmudov, Deputy Director General of the Uzbek Automobile Trade Association.
The exhibition is focused on promising sectors such as the digital economy, green energy, and smart manufacturing, and is aimed at further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan. Through large-scale displays and business contacts, the event seeks to strengthen practical trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Around 200 leading Chinese companies showcased their products. Among them were industry giant Gree with smart home solutions, Hisense with ultra-HD display technologies, Zhejiang Hangcha with new-generation electric vehicles, and DEEP Robotics with biomimetic robots. High-tech enterprises and innovative brands also presented advances in technological innovation and industrial modernization.
The exhibition features six specialized sections, including smart manufacturing, green energy, and digital trade, as well as a “National Image” pavilion. The total exhibition space covers 4,800 square meters.
As part of the event, a China–Uzbekistan trade and investment forum was held, where government officials, business representatives, and industry associations discussed new opportunities for cooperation. During a dedicated “brand requests” session, about 100 specific procurement needs were announced, providing a foundation for more targeted and long-term partnership mechanisms in trade.
The exhibition is seen as an important step in implementing the agreements of the China–Central Asia Summit and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). It is expected to serve as a strategic platform for Chinese companies entering regional markets while also providing a strong boost to industrial modernization in Uzbekistan.
The exhibition will run until 18 September and will include specialized presentations and bilateral business meetings.
