Children with special needs receive new home in Karshi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The children of the Muruvvat Boarding House in Karshi City received new building, which provides excellent conditions for living and development. On 23 December 2018, it was solemnly opened after a major overhaul.

This charity project was jointly implemented by Gazprombank JSC, Uzbekneftegaz JSC with the support of the Development Strategy Center and other partners.

The boarding house was built in 1976. In 2002, additional buildings were built, and in 2012, maintenance was carried out.

In April 2018, in order to create a complex that meets the requirements of modern standards, primarily sanitary standards, the process of capital reconstruction of the Karshi Boarding School for disabled children started.

During the renovation, several buildings were dismantled, new kitchen and gallery rooms were erected, connecting the main building with the kitchen unit. For the convenience of children and staff, a hospital elevator was installed, air conditioning and ventilation systems have been installed in all wards.

The boiler house has also been completely replaced, the capacity and efficiency of which have increased significantly. In accordance with the required standards, a sewage system has been connected to the territory, a new fire extinguishing system has been laid with a 100 ton water tank.

Boarding house "Muruvvat" equipped with new furniture and made a complete improvement of the surrounding area. The total capital expenditures amounted to more than 22 billion soums.

It is important to note that the state spends considerable funds to create conditions for children with disabilities. For 300 children, the standards provide for almost 300 specialists. Among them are 27 health workers, 75 educators, 50 economic workers, nannies.

With the children, who come here at 3 years of age, they are studying, providing medical services. With some of the kids, selected by the commission, the teachers are engaged individually. Now separate educational rooms have been created for this, which means that the effectiveness of training and the adaptation of these children will be much higher.

As the director of the Kurshi boarding school “Muruvvat” in Karshi, Ruzikul Khojaev, said in an interview, now not only the kids, but also the staff received excellent conditions for the adaptation of children, their medical care and development. New opportunities opens up the complex and for the application of innovative methods. Pupils of the orphanage will receive as a gift two ponies - real little horses, which are so loved by children. "Hippotherapy" - the so-called method of rehabilitation through therapeutic riding and interaction with animals - has already proven its effectiveness and allows developing important emotions in children, adapting to the outside world faster.
