Child Injured by Electric Shock in Kindergarten In Ferghana — Case Monitored by Prosecutor’s Office

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In a kindergarten in Ferghana, a child suffered an electric shock from high-voltage current, causing significant public concern.

According to the Children’s Ombudsman of Uzbekistan, the incident is under the control of the prosecutor’s office.

Preliminary data indicate that serious harm to the child’s health may have resulted from the negligence of responsible personnel.

“Due to the inaction of officials, the child sustained serious health damage, and an investigation is being conducted at the request of the Children’s Ombudsman,” the official statement notes.

The Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Children’s Rights has taken personal oversight of the case.
