Chemical Technology Center to be established in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Center for Chemical Technologies will be established in Uzbekistan on the basis of the Tashkent Scientific Research Institute of Chemical Technology and Uzkimyosanoatloyiha.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to accelerate the development of the chemical industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
The center will be created in collaboration with the Korean Chemical Technology Research Institute (KRICT) of the Research and Design Institute.
The head of Uzbekistan instructed the State Investment Committee, Uzkimyosanoat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to secure the attraction of the Eximbank loan through EDCF (Republic of Korea) in the amount of US$50 million and grant funds to organize the Center’s activities.
Uzkimyosanoat, together with the State Committee on Investments and the Ministry of Finance, within two months was entrusted to submit to the Cabinet of Ministers proposals on the organization of the Center’s activities with the definition of sources of financing.
