Charter Flight from Sweden Returns Uzbek Citizens Who Were Abroad Without Legal Status

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 February, a charter flight from Sweden arrived at Tashkent International Airport carrying 21 Uzbek citizens who had previously been in Sweden without legal grounds.

The return of the compatriots was organized through coordinated efforts between the relevant authorities of both countries. Upon arrival, passengers were provided with the necessary support and briefed on subsequent procedures, reflecting Uzbekistan’s consistent approach to protecting the rights and interests of its citizens while adhering to international and national legal standards.

The individuals had earlier entered Sweden in violation of entry regulations and remained there without legal authorization under migration requirements.
