Chairperson of Saxony Parliament visits Uzbekistan

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that Matthias Rößler arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in a roundtable “Development of parliamentarism: experience of Uzbekistan and Germany” and international seminar “Strengthening multiparty system and inter-party competition – important conditions for developing parliamentarism”.

The sides discussed actual issues of cooperation between regions of Uzbekistan and Saxony in context of further developing the Uzbek-German relations. The sides exchanged opinion on strengthening inter-parliamentary contacts, legislative support of bilateral relations with participation of the state, public structures, cultural, scientific and education institutions between Uzbekistan and Germany.

The sides positively noted role of Konrad Adenaur Foundation in development of the Uzbek-German dialogue. The Foundation marks its 20th anniversary of its operation in Uzbekistan.
