Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR) has published an updated analytical review of Uzbekistan’s automotive market based on the results of November this year.
According to the data presented, total sales of motor vehicles across all categories amounted to 101.1 thousand units in November, which is 6% higher than in the same period last year.
In regional terms, the highest year-on-year growth rates in sales of all types of passenger cars were recorded in the city of Tashkent, with an increase of 33.7%, and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where sales rose by 8%.
On the primary car market, sales of passenger vehicles increased by 15%, corresponding to an additional 4.4 thousand units compared to November 2024.
Sales of new domestically produced passenger cars reached around 30 thousand units, showing year-on-year growth of 13.6%. At the same time, sales of new foreign-made passenger vehicles totaled approximately 5 thousand units, exceeding the level of the same period last year by 22.5%.
On the secondary market, about 52 thousand passenger cars were sold in November, which is 8% lower than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
However, the capital demonstrated an opposite trend. In Tashkent, sales of used cars increased by 1.4 times, which is 3.4 thousand vehicles more than in November last year.
A steady expansion of the electric vehicle segment was also observed on the secondary market, where sales rose by 1.8 times year on year.
CERR’s analysis indicates the preservation of positive dynamics in the primary automotive market and an ongoing structural shift in demand, including toward environmentally friendly modes of transport, alongside pronounced regional differentiation in trends on the secondary market.
