Centrum Air Implements CRM Training Program with Acron Aviation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Acron Aviation has implemented a comprehensive train-the-trainer program for Uzbekistan’s airline Centrum Air, equipping its internal training team with the expertise to independently conduct Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
The initiative marks a key step in developing the airline’s corporate culture, providing instructors with the knowledge and tools to sustainably integrate CRM training, including human factors, into the company’s internal training system.
Acron Aviation CRM experts designed a tailored program, conducted a series of workshops, and guided the initial implementation phase alongside Centrum Air’s new instructors. This approach ensures both rapid deployment and long-term sustainability of the training system.
David Coward, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Training Services at Acron Aviation, emphasized that building internal training capabilities is central to the company’s strategy. He noted that transferring competencies to Centrum Air’s team improves safety and operational efficiency while supporting the airline’s long-term growth plans.
The project’s benefits extend beyond operational efficiency. Integrating CRM principles into flight safety management enhances pilot proficiency, supports the airline’s strategic development, and facilitates compliance with European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification standards.
Eldar Khamdeev, Director of Flight Operations at My Freighter / Centrum Air, highlighted that this model positions the airline among the first in the region capable of independently conducting CRM training. Strengthening instructor skills, advancing pilot qualifications, and reducing reliance on external providers all contribute to a more robust safety system.
The project also reinforces the partnership between the companies. Centrum Air pilots continue type-specific training at Acron Aviation’s London training center, while Acron Aviation maintains oversight of CRM standards to ensure long-term sustainability of the collaboration.
