Central Bank Temporarily Suspends P2P Payments via Humans

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced a temporary suspension of peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers through the mobile application Humans, provided by Humans Companies JSC as an agent of Octagram JSC (brand Paylov).

According to the statement, on 10 April 2025, the two companies signed Agreement No. 32, under which Humans began offering money transfer services to its clients.

On 8 December2025, the Central Bank received reports from citizens regarding withdrawals via the Humans app. Within its regulatory authority, the bank contacted Octagram JSC and instructed the temporary suspension of P2P operations to ensure security and address potential vulnerabilities.

As of 9 December, all payment services provided by Octagram through Humans are temporarily unavailable. At the same time, payments and transfers via Uzcard and Humo cards continue as usual, and card usage in other banking and payment applications remains unaffected.

The Central Bank is conducting an urgent review of the incident, examining suspicious transactions, technical processes, and interactions between the platforms. Additional information will be published following the investigation.

Citizens are advised to contact law enforcement agencies in the prescribed manner if necessary.
