Central Bank Expands Oversight of Non-Bank Credit Organizations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has updated the rules for inspecting non-bank credit organizations, according to a newly published resolution by the regulator.
Under the revised regulations, not only microfinance institutions but also organizations providing guarantees and factoring services are now subject to supervision. Inspections will be conducted if previously identified violations have not been corrected or if an organization has submitted inaccurate information.
The document removes provisions allowing repeat inspections within a single year, eliminates unnecessary bureaucratic procedures, and deletes references to outdated Central Bank departments.
Additionally, the procedure for forming inspection teams has been clarified — their composition will now be determined based on the scope of work and the specific activities of the organization under review.
