Central Asian Leaders and Japan to Discuss Sustainable Development and Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 19 to 20 December, Tokyo will host the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue (CA+JAD) summit, marking the first meeting at the level of heads of state. The summit will be chaired by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
The event will bring together the presidents of the five Central Asian countries, all committed to supporting and strengthening an international order based on the rule of law. Leaders are expected to discuss ways to promote autonomous and sustainable development in the region.
The summit aims to reaffirm cooperation between Central Asia and Japan, a key partner, and to strengthen mutually beneficial relations.
As part of the event, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will organize a “Central Asia plus Japan” Business Forum. Prime Minister Takaichi will also hold bilateral meetings with the Central Asian presidents to discuss the deepening of bilateral relations, international agenda priorities, and other pressing issues.
