The meeting, organized by FAO, was attended by ministers of agriculture of five Central Asian countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss food security and agricultural development during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The ministers were joined by experts from FAO, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Eurasian Development Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the Islamic Development Bank and the World Bank.
