Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 November 2025, the first Tourism Forum “Central Asia – European Union” was held in Tashkent as part of International Tourism Week.
The event brought together heads of tourism authorities from Central Asian countries and the European Union, as well as over 150 industry specialists and representatives of international delegations.
The forum focused on key issues for developing the tourism sector, expanding cooperation, and strengthening business ties between the region and the EU.
During panel sessions, participants exchanged experiences in applying digital technologies in tourism, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting the tourist potential of Central Asia.
Special attention was given to fostering dialogue between the region and the European Union and exploring joint opportunities to enhance international collaboration.
The forum served as an important platform to showcase the region’s tourism opportunities, create new international contacts, and strengthen cooperation between Central Asian countries and the EU.
