Center of Islamic Civilization and UN Alliance of Civilizations Agree on Joint Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the official visit of Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, to Jeddah, negotiations were held and a memorandum of international cooperation was signed.

During the visit, Abdukhalikov met with Mamdouh Osman, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art.

The parties discussed the activities of the Center, its key goals, and projects aimed at studying and promoting the scientific, historical, and spiritual heritage of Islamic civilization. Issues of joint exhibitions, research projects, international conferences, and the exchange of experience between specialists and scholars were also addressed.

As a result of the negotiations, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.

The document is intended to strengthen dialogue between civilizations, promote cultural tolerance, and provide a broader global audience with access to the heritage of Islamic civilization.

Both sides emphasized that these meetings and agreements create new opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation and lay the foundation for the implementation of joint projects in the future.
