The launch of the training center was realized thanks to the joint efforts of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Environment and Environmental Protection, the UNDP Country Office in Uzbekistan, the Global Environment Facility under the joint project “Initial Accelerated Reduction of the Use of Hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) in the Transition Economies (EIT countries) Uzbekistan”.
Uktam Utayev, deputy chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environmental Protection, noted that only by improving skills of technical specialists and introducing modern teaching methods based on modern environmental studies can make contribution to reduce emissions of ozone-depleting substances and preserve the ozone layer.
The Center will improve skills of engineering and technical employees of refrigeration industry enterprises, conducting practical training sessions on the basis of the training center with installation, welding, maintenance, crimping and vacuuming of cooling and air conditioning systems.
The training center will show trainees the best examples of maintenance, installation and repair of climate equipment.
The Center was equipped with modern equipment for the recovery and reuse of refrigerants, the necessary tools and office equipment for the organization of the training process.
