CEC: Inspection of signature sheets close to completion
Each party should collect at least 40,000 signatures of the voters, who support participation of the party in elections. At the same time, number of signatures, collected in one administrative-territorial formation of the country, should not exceed 8% from required number.
Currently, the work group of the CEC continues inspect signature sheets. Representatives of public organizations, specialists of interior affairs, justice bodies and others are participating in the process.
Eldor Kabilov, member of the working group and representative of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan, said that only some of signature sheets are inspected. He said that at least 15% of collected signatures should be checked in line with the legislation. Afterwards, the working group will give its conclusion to the CEC.
Based on conclusion and submitted documents, the CEC will adopt decision on allowing party to participate in parliamentary elections in five-day term.
