CCI hosts a meeting with the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 September, a meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce with a delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the director of the General Directorate for International Agreements and Investments Badr al-Mifgai.

The delegation includes representatives of structures responsible for the economy and trade, more than 20 companies operating in the areas of food, textile, agriculture, mineral resources, construction, electronics and others.

The parties discussed current issues in relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia with an emphasis on the prospects for their further development and strengthening, especially in the trade, economic and investment fields.

Badrom al-Mifgai, Director of the General Directorate for International Agreements and Investments, noted in his speech that this meeting of business circles will give a powerful impetus to the development of economic ties between our countries, in particular, it will facilitate the investment of Saudi Arabia in Uzbekistan.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov stressed that in our country all conditions have been created for Saudi investors, the doors of free economic and small industrial zones are always open for them, and invited entrepreneurs of the kingdom to mutually beneficial cooperation.

Presentations were held at the event on the investment, tourism and export potential of our country, free economic and small industrial zones.

An exchange of views also took place on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.

Representatives of the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also visited the Olmazor Small Industrial Zone, got acquainted with the activities of UzTex and Candy Gold.

Within the framework of the visit, on 1 October, it is planned to hold an Uzbek-Saudi business forum in the Namangan region, as well as presenting investment projects in the region, and meeting in B2B format with local entrepreneurs. The delegation will also visit the sights of Namangan region and get acquainted with the activities of production facilities in the region.
