CCI and IFC discuss accession of Uzbekistan to WTO

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of expanding cooperation with international financial organizations, the First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Islom Jasimov met with Violane Konar-Leacy, the head of the delegation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group.

At the meeting, the sides discussed the effectiveness of the ongoing economic reforms in the Republic of Uzbekistan in further liberalization of foreign economy, simplification of foreign trade procedures, as well as creation of favorable conditions for participants of foreign economic activities in customs regulation of export-import transactions.

Members of the IFC delegation became thoroughly acquainted with activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in supporting business entities in foreign economic sphere, ensuring protection of the rights and interests of entrepreneurs before the state bodies, interaction of the Chamber with state bodies in business development and creating favorable conditions for foreign economic activity.
