Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s U-17 national football team returned home in triumph after a brilliant performance at the AFC U-17 Asian Cup held in Saudi Arabia.

Demonstrating true sporting spirit and remarkable team unity, the young players claimed the championship title, delivering a proud victory for the nation.

A festive welcome ceremony was held at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport. The event was attended by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, Presidential Administration official Odil Abdurakhmanov, representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, the Uzbekistan Football Association, family members, loyal fans, and media representatives.

Officials praised the team’s performance throughout the tournament, especially their determined win in the final against the host nation. The young champions were wished continued success, focus, and inspiration on their path to professional growth.

During the ceremony, congratulations from the President of Uzbekistan and Chairman of the National Olympic Committee were read aloud, along with a decree awarding the tournament’s winners and participants.

To conclude the celebration, each player received a memorable gift from the head of state — keys to a Cobalt car. The team’s head coach was awarded an Equinox vehicle in recognition of his leadership.
