Cargo of Afghanistan delivered to China
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 September, the first container train loaded with a semi-processed stone of mineral talcum powder was sent from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (IRA) to the People’s Republic of China (PRC), with the participation of officials from Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the ambassadors of China, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
A train of 41 containers departed from the Hairaton station in transit through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan arrived at the Altynkol station, an interstate butt point between Kazakhstan and China.
It should be noted that the transit train reached its destination in three days due to the coordinated work of the railway workers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The representative of the shipper, talc and marble extraction and processing company Amin Karimzai Izhazul Khak Karimzai thanked the Sogdiana Trans subsidiary (Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC) for their cooperation in organizing and assisting in resolving issues that arose during the preparation of the first export train. He also shared Amin Karimzai’s plans for the monthly shipment of 150-200 railroad cars of mineral talcum powder to the People’s Republic of China.
Both export and import have an important role in the development of the economy of Afghanistan. Further development of the Afghanistan-China railway route will open up even more opportunities for Afghan entrepreneurs.
