Cannavaro: Victory at Al-Ayn Are an Important Step Toward the 2026 World Cup for Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, Fabio Cannavaro, summarized the November training camp and shared plans for the near future.

“Our goal is clear — to be fully prepared and informed for the 2026 World Cup,” Cannavaro stated. He emphasized that the national team’s victories at the international Al-Ayn Cup in the UAE, including wins against Egypt and Iran, provided invaluable experience given the higher FIFA rankings of those teams.
